Here's a quick guide to reading the Arcane Underground books in order. Put simply, the entire Sins of the Father series (orange) may be read on its own, but is best read between Endless Knight and Ex Tenebris, books 9 and 10 in the Darkling Mage series (blue). The short stories in Crystal Brawl are meant to be read where the blue bullets fall in each of the first three series.
Everything else may be read independently, but the Arcane Underground is probably best consumed from top to bottom (get your mind out of the gutter) due to how newer supernatural elements – angels, demons, and so on – are gradually introduced.
As a final note, only my Hearts series (Arcane Hearts, Wild Hearts, and Stolen Hearts) can be classified as M/M romance. Darkling Mage features a gay protagonist and has a light romance subplot, but all scenes fade to black. Vampire Vigilante (red) features a pansexual protagonist and also has a romantic subplot, but again, all scenes fade to black. The other series – Sins of the Father (orange) and Infernal Inheritance (pink) – are completely romance-free.
Still confused? So am I! Drop me a line if you need more help or if you just want to chat about the books.
